deep places
Poem: What lies behind a door In this forest floor? A disconcerting sight Too strange to ignore
It's there beneath the pines Can you see its lines? Mysterious entry place Hidden by designs.
Not wanting to infringe Yet I see a hinge I must find the handle How this makes me cringe
And if the handle gives If this door does lift Will it out come at me? Shall I best be swift?
And could I venture there? Could be dragon's lair Do I have the courage? Will there be a stair?
What lies beneath a door In the forest floor? What deep places hide there Ready to explore?
